The 2026 Stellantis Adventure Series may already be two rounds into its five-event journey, but the battle for overall honours is only just beginning. With three rounds still to come – including a crucial double-points weekend – the series remains wide open. Whether you’ve already started your campaign or have yet to pin on a race number, there’s still a realistic opportunity to challenge for a share of the impressive R350 000 prize purse.

After two rounds of fast and tactical gravel racing, Western Cape rider Dan Loubser leads the men’s standings on 45 points, with Alwyn Steenkamp close behind on 38. Jayden Naude currently occupies third place with 26 points. In the women’s competition, Nicolette Griffioen has established an early advantage on 50 points, while Jules Cass and Amore Ludik are tied in second place on 20 points each.

But with three events still on the calendar and double points available at Round 4, those standings could change dramatically over the coming months.
THREE OPPORUNTIES AWAIT
The series returns after the winter break with three distinctive events, each offering its own terrain, atmosphere and racing challenge.
Saturday 5 September – Magalies Rocks the Cradle
Die Krip, Magaliesburg
100km | 80km | 40km | 25km

Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 October – Cradle Mountain Trophy
Valley Lodge & Spa
Day 1: 100km
Day 2: 70km | 45km | 20km
This two-day event incorporates the Mountain Trophy Adventure mountain bike stage race as part of the Luxliner High Schools Series. Importantly, the overall Stellantis Adventure Series points will be calculated across both stages – and then doubled, making it the pivotal weekend of the championship.

Sunday 29 November – The Magalies Adventure
Galloway Gardens, Magaliesburg
100km | 65km | 45km | 20km
Overall Stellantis Adventure Series points are awarded only in the longest distance at each event, ensuring the championship remains a genuine test of endurance, speed and consistency.

In addition to the lucrative overall series prize money, every round also offers equal cash prizes for the top five men and top three women, creating plenty of incentive for both elite racers and ambitious amateurs.
Importantly, The Magalies Adventure is a compulsory event for those in contention for series prizemoney. All series prize-winners need to be present, in person, at The Magalies Adventure as this is when the prizes are handed out. If they are not present, they forfeit the prizemoney.

MOUNTAIN BIKES WELCOME
Although the Stellantis Adventure Series is designed as a gravel racing championship, organisers actively encourage mountain bike participation.
The routes are predominantly fast gravel roads, linked by sections of tar and occasional jeep track, creating racing that rewards fitness, tactical awareness and efficient bike handling rather than technical trail skills. Whether you line up on a gravel bike or a mountain bike, you’ll be part of the same competitive racing experience.

MORE THAN BIKE RACING
Each event also features trail running races, making the weekends ideal for families and mixed groups of friends. While competitors are out on the course, supporters can relax in comfortable venue surroundings, enjoying the atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the series.
The future of the sport is also well represented through the Luxliner High Schools Series, which runs alongside the Stellantis Adventure Series and encourages school teams to compete for valuable series honours.

“With two rounds down and three to come, there’s still a lot of racing to look forward to,” said series organiser Rob Jackson of Leverage Corporation. “And with double points on offer at Round 4, we’re expecting some new racers to enter the mix.
“Event 4, Cradle Mountain Trophy, is also an ideal preparation race for those who have entered Gravel Burn and want to get some high-intensity riding done on a marked, supported route,” added Jackson.

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to join the Stellantis Adventure Series, that time is now. Three rounds remain, the championship is still wide open, and the decisive double-points weekend could completely reshape the leaderboard. The race for the 2026 Stellantis Adventure Series title is only entering its most exciting phase.
