EASY SHOCK ACCESS
With the new Genius, accessing the patented integrated shock is simple. Just push the button, pop off the cover, and access is yours. From here, adjusting rebound, air pressure, etc. is a mere button push away. When you’re done, just pop the cover back on until you hear a ‘click’ and off you go.
TWINLOC TECHNOLOGY
With TwinLoc, you can effectively control the complete frame, fork, and shock as a system. Why does this matter? A bike with 150mm of suspension travel, correctly set up, has more sag than a bike with 130mm. It’s that extra travel that makes it more fun to ride and more capable on the descents, but the greater sag has an oversized effect on the bike’s geometry and climbing performance. That’s where TwinLoc comes in.
TwinLoc helps manage the sag effect in several ways. Whereas most systems only increase low-speed compression in an effort to gain pedalling efficiency, TwinLoc allows you to not only change compression damping, but also to change the spring curve, dynamically altering the geometry of the bike.
In Trail mode, the shock is not only firmer, but it has dynamically less travel. The bike sits higher, maintains a steep seat angle for those climbs, and becomes more agile. The Genius also offers a third, full lockout mode for going up in the most efficient manner possible.
SHIMANO 1X DRIVETRAIN
The SCOTT Genius 930 features a Shimano XT/Deore 1×12 drivetrain that offers simplicity (no dropped chain drama), definitive shifting with Hyperglide and a 10-51 cassette range for ease of climbing.
FOX SUSPENSION
There’s no compromise on the suspension on the SCOTT Genius 930 – it’s full Fox, Bru! The rear shock is FOX Float Custom EVOL Performance with 150mm of travel and three modes: Lockout-Trail-Descend. Carrying out duty up front is the Fox FOX 36 Float Rhythm Air Grip with 160mm of travel and the same modes as the rear: Lockout-Trail-Descend.
SRAM BRAKESET
