The U Stage Race turns six this year and you should be there!

Now is the time to book your spot for the weekend of 23-25 September 2022. Heritage Day done right is spending it on the pristine, hand-crafted trail network of the Piket-Bo-Berg.

The area offers some of the finest singletrack trail riding in the land, with over 100 kilometres of trails on the Mouton’s Valley, Pomona and Bugler’s Post farms. The trails are only open to the public once a year during the three-day boutique stage race, The U.

The trails are magically flowy, weaving over, through, between, and under rocks to create a real mountain-biker’s paradise. Make no mistake about it, it is tough and technical and you need to bring your legs, lungs and skills.

While the exclusive access to these beautiful trails is more than enough reason to enter, the lifestyle offering is something unique in South Africa… The race is all-inclusive.

Regardless of what accommodation option you choose, you can leave your wallet at home and you receive a full-service, premium-quality offering, all covered by your entry fee.

Thanks to the event’s partners, the all-inclusive premium offering includes (among lots of other surprises):

  • Delicious meals & snacks throughout the weekend, served by Venturescapes
  • Official custom trail kit for The U 2022, made locally by Enjoy
  • Baristas serving any hot beverage of your choice
  • Complimentary Belgian beers like Duvel and La Chouffe
  • Hope Gin sunset cocktails
  • Cadence Nutrition during Episodes 1 & 2
  • A complimentary recovery massage

In addition, consider this: All proceeds from The U go straight back into the Mouton’s Valley Star Centre, which provides the children of the community with educational & sporting support.

The field is small so entries are limited and selling out fast. There are various entry and accommodation options available. To enter, click here, for more info on the routes and accommodation options, click here.
