Congratulations to Natalie Bergstrom from Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal on being drawn the winner of our FNB Wines2Whale Race team entry! It’s clear by the hundreds of entries that this event is one of the most coveted mountain bike races in South Africa. Thanks to everyone that entered our competition.
The FNB Wines2Whales is one of South Africa’s favourite mountain bike events. The three-day stage race takes place on some of the Western Cape’s finest mountain bike trails in the most stunning natural surroundings.
The organisation is among the best you’ll find in the world and the experience is such that the race has created three different events to offer over 4050 mountain bikers a chance to participate in the event.
We have teamed up with the organisers to give away one two-rider team entry worth R13500 to the 2017 FNB Wines2Whales Race.
The Race is the final of the three events and takes place from 3-5 November 2017. The TREAD prize is a Standard Tent entry, which includes two nights of tented accommodation for you and your teammate at the race venue and all the relevant meals and services. You would need to arrange your own transportation to and from the start and finish as well as any other accommodation and meals outside of the Standard Tent entry package.
To stand a chance of winning this great prize, email your answers to the three questions below to Hester at TREAD.
All those who send the correct answers will go into a draw and one entry will be chosen at random. The winner will be contacted via the same email address from which you entered.
- In what year did the first edition of the Wines2Whales take place?
- What is the name of the venue of the Wines2Whales race village?
- Name 3 of the 20 sponsors of the 2017 Wines2Whales?
The draw will take place on Thursday 10 August, giving the winner and his/her teammate 12 weeks to prepare for the event. | The draw will be done randomly from all correct entries. | The prize is not redeemable for cash. | The prize cannot be transferred to another rider without the written consent of the organisers (and appropriate substitution procedure followed).
